I'm Not Sure If the Cat I Found Is Actually a Cat
Description
On her way home after being dumped by her boyfriend of seven years, Kaoru Honda picks up a black lump she assumes is a cat. However, it turns out to be a strange creature that speaks human language, uses a human toilet, and even enjoys drinking alcohol! Kaoru names this odd being "Modoki" (meaning "imitation" or "fake") and begins living with it. Through her interactions with Modoki, her dreary daily life gradually begins to change. This is a slightly funny and heartwarming, fluffy story about a worn-out office worker who tackles love and work with advice from an oddly "old man-like" cat (?), and her encounters with a cat-loving veterinarian neighbor .
