For Certain Reasons, I’m Starting to Raise Supernatural Children
Description
Misora is a single woman living alone who loses everything when her company goes bankrupt. With no job, no home, and no family to turn to, she eventually collapses from hunger in a park. Just before losing consciousness, she hears a child's voice. When she wakes up, she finds herself in a beautiful traditional Japanese house surrounded by four lively children and a mysterious, handsome man named Rasetsu. Grateful that they saved her, Misora expects to go on her way. Instead, Rasetsu asks her to look after the children. Misora has no experience raising children and tries to refuse, but Rasetsu insists that she stay. With nowhere else to go, Misora begins living as the household's live-in housekeeper. Taking care of four energetic children proves far more difficult than she expected, and she struggles to keep up with their mischief and endless demands. However, Misora gradually discovers that this is no ordinary household. Rasetsu and the children are ayakashi, supernatural beings rooted in Japanese folklore. Their unusual nature brings strange situations, magical encounters, and problems that ordinary childcare could never prepare her for. As Misora grows closer to the children, she becomes increasingly involved in their lives. In one storyline, she learns about an elderly woman grieving the accidental death of her grandchild. With the help of the fox spirits Keizō and Kuzuha, the household tries to ease the woman's lingering sorrow.
